Garden Celebration. When: Friday June 3, 2005
from 11-11:30am a.m. Where: Astor Elementary School, 5601 N. Yale,
Portland 97203 Why: To
acknowledge the students’ work in replacing a 8,500 square foot asphalt
courtyard with an educational rainwater garden, through a short slide show
documenting the students’ role in its planning and construction and opening the
garden with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with students and faculty.
